do car dealers do this?

Car dealers will accept your motorcycle in trade.

They auction off vehicles they cannot sell on their used car lot. The vehicles they keep for resale are accepted for a higher trade value than those they don't. They probably won't give you blue book on your motorcycle. If they do, you won't be able to negoiate the the price of the car you are trying to buy down.

Your best route would be to sell your motorcycle yourself and walk into the car dealership with cash!
