yes you can BUT they won't be firm enough and may allow 'submarining' which is nothing to do with water but could be lethal

No you cannot use a pillow or a piece of foam. Go to a near by fire station and ask them where to get an approved booster seat. In some states there are places you can go to turn in your child's car seat and get a booster seat for free. If there is no such place where you live then try a consignment shop.

Booster seats aren't that expensive. Used an approved seat.

Absolutley not! They are for your child's protection! They only cost like 30 dollars go buy one. How would you fell if you got in a car accident and something happened to you child? Would it be worth the 30 dollars then?

let's not be stupid here. What kind of question is this? One for idiots obviously. Why would you even take the chance and put your OWN kid at risk. or even SOMEONE ELSE'S(not yours). Use common sense. Think about it this way if you got stopped by the police would you get a ticket and points on YOUR license. YES!!!!

Yes you can - if you are an adult - that means over 12yrs old! (I think!)
I'm 49 and 5ft 2ins tall - those seat belts cut my neck and don't fit around my middle properly either!

Children need the support of something around them to keep them from slipping or falling, not just something to make them taller.

No they are not legal, it has to be one that is offically approved and has the label on it, and it has to be used properly.
