What is the difference ( or is there any?) between flemish and dutch languages?

They are the same dialect of the same language. The terms are interchangeable when speaking of language. However, Flemish as an adjective otherwise, refers to things related to Flanders i northern Belgium, and Dutch refers to things from The Netherlands.

Dutch and Flemish are "cousins". They are closely related and belong to the same language family, but have evolved along slightly different lines.
Dutch speakers and Flemish speakers have no problem understanding each other as long as they speak in the "algemeen beschaafd" meaning the "general cultivated" version of their respective languages.

they are languages from the same origin, as already said , flemish can be considered as a dutch dialect. as flemish is spoken in belgium they use many more french words in their language, for example, in dutch they say for suitcase koffer, in flemish they say valieske (hope to write it right) coming from the french word valise. also the accent of speaking is more french like. Belgian programs in dutch tv often get subtitles!!!

EDIT: If it's really true what the previous answerers say that Dutch and Flemish are mutually intelligible, then they are the same language..

Flemish is spoken in Belgium and Dutch is spoken in the Netherlands.
