can i download (for free) the excel solver add-in w/out my windows xp cd-rom?

i need the add-in for a class but i don't have the installation cd. is there a website that offers free downloads of excel add-ins?

You can try Microsoft.com. But as Excel is not past of Windows, it is part of Micrsoft Office, you will need to look in the Office section at microsoft for it.
