I have a friend who has a Ford van for sale. They only want around $800. They just bought a new SUV and the dealer wouldn't take their van in trade because it's a 1991.

The van runs but needs freeze plugs. The freeze plugs would only cost around $20, but it's no fun putting them in.

We're in Central Valley California so there's no rust on the van.

check this out, you might want to conact your local POLICE. You can request to go to a police auction and get a good passenger van for a very cheap price. You might have to get a loan from the bank to pay for it, but that is also good because you will already have a set budget going into the auction. Credit unions have better APR's compared to a regular bank-alex

Five people isn't that much for a van. Look for a Kia Sedona. They're cheap (especially used ones), but they're reliable.
