I met someone a 3 weeks ago on a night out...just one of those drunken things...or so I thought. I told him I didn't want anything else, that it was just one night, blah blah, cos I was going through a bit of a 'men are sh*t' phase. Anyway, the next day he said he did want to see me again...I agreed but suggested just meeting casually in a pub as we were both out with friends that night.

I was late (I know I'm coming off badly here, but it really wasn't my fault!) So I didn't see him. And I didn't have his number to ring. So...I would like to see him again, as we got on really really well and he seemed like such a nice, genuine guy....but I feel like I've blown it. Should I move on, or try to look for him?

And if I should look, is my only option to frequent the place we met? As I don't know his last name, or his address. Though I do know his local pub but that feels a bit stalker-like to go there when I wouldn't normally!

What do you think or what would you do? Thank u!

I'd say go for it. Life's an adventure and if you happen to run into him again while hanging out in or near the places that he does, then see where that takes you. If you do run into him, perhaps you'll get a better take on whether you want to take it further. If you don't, chances are you may find someone else in the process! Best of luck to you!

Maybe he didn't turn up and is thinking the same about you? Turn your question around and figure out what he knows about you and how he would go about finding you, then see if you can make that easier for him. I would maybe go to his pub once and leave a message that I was looking for him that way he knows you are still interested - but I wouldn't leave my number with strangers.

Keep your dance card open for him, but dont stop doing what you are doing. Life has way of making things work out. You will run into him someday... and maybe you will be thru the "I dont trust men" stage. You can go looking for him, but that would prove that you dont know what you want right now. So once a week cruise by the hang-out and see if you get "lucky" again.

I don't see any problem calling in his local for half an hour or so for a few days in the hope of seeing him again. You have nothing to lose and you never know he may just be that one man out there that isn't a piece of sh*t.

The key point in your story was that he wanted to see you again after you said that this was a “one night only” kind of deal. He was willing to take the chance of seeing you again even though the chances were slim. That takes a lot of courage to boldly walk into the face of rejection. In this case he was not disappointed as you agreed to meet him... but ended up getting stood up. Given these circumstances I don’t think he’d mind walking into his favorite bar to see you and get an apology for missing your last date (no excuses either... just eat it!). If you want to find this dude again I don’t think you are too late, just act fast.

Go ask in the local pub. Ask behind the bar and find someone (staff or another local) who knows him and either get his number or leave a letter with yours in (in an envelope, don't let any fool have your number.). Good luck.

If you would really like to give it a go. Maybe you could go to that pub where he goes. And ask the bartender if you could leave a note for this guy. Or you could leave into fate's hands

Go look for him, what can you lose except be right back where you are now, not in a relationship with him and putting it behind you. Do it!! All that can happen, is it not work, or be a possible chance to start something new, and he might have mad respect for you, for coming to find him and apologizing!

Move on. He wasn't there to meet you which tells me he is a sloppy seconds kind of a man.

Let him go and find someone better before you turn into Glenn Close's character in the movie "Fatal Attraction."
