How long is too long and what reasons are ok for not talking to each other? Does it bother you if you don't get to communicate as often as you'd like to?

The longest we can go is about 12 hours. That includes sleeping and being at work. We always call one another at least once during the work day just to say hi and see how the day's going. So I really can't relate to not talking to him often.

My boyfriend & I don't "talk" everyday but we try to at least email or text message once a day. We've went 3 days without talking before but if you ask me that's too long to go without talking.(or I should say contact). In the past, I dated a guy that I only talked to about once a week (he was cheating). I don't know what to tell you though because every relationship is different. My current bf is shy and doesn't talk much so we don't have a reason to talk on the phone everyday. Good luck!

In general we talk a couple times a day, even though we don't live together. But when I went on vacation and he didn't come with me, I was gone for a week and a half and couldn't talk to him. I was on a cruise with family. And we were too far out to use cell phones. We both thought we'd go nuts not speaking for so long. We just miss each other when we don't speak for so long!

That only last a few minutes. She will not let me give her the silent treatment and life is too short to have long drawn out fights. I get upset, I tell her why, she knows this for future reference and we move on. If it is something big we have a serious discussion about it and I explain in few detail how and why it upset me and we move past it. I like to spend as little time as possible being upset, it is a waste of time and would much rather use that time being happily with her.

the longest... talked before bed, did not talk until the next day around dinner. And yes that is toooo long haha. I love talking even if it is for less than a minute just to say I love you.

less than 24 hours, even when we are mad at each other, we won't go to bed before we can make up or come to an agreement and talk

Believe me it bothers a lot .... i cant stay without talking for more than a few days ..

Several hours. Depends on schedules but if we don't have time to talk, we at least send text messages and emails.

my live in boyfriend, never talk every evening and iam not happy, he don' t like communication on his part. it is riduclious and don't know how i can continue this relationship.
