Paganism can refer to any non-Abrahamic religion such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Shinto, etc.
I'm assuming that in this regard, you're referring to neopaganism, which is an umbrella term in itself. Religions classified as neopagan include Wicca, Asatru (Norse paganism), Santeria, Voodou, Vodun, and others.
Neopagan religions have always preached of peace; we have no interest in forcing the conversion of other folk away from their traditions and adopting ours. Many of us feel it is wrong to do so. I feel we Pagans are benevolent and work for the common good as opposed to the interests of a few individuals.

I'm all for it as well! My best friend is pagan and also the most kind hearted, unselfish person I know!! I think there is so much that is misunderstood about it, and that is pure ignorance! Pagan beliefs make allot of sense.

believe that paganism is buying Christmas trees on Christmas and going all out for the tree to be just prefect but forgetting what Christmas is all about.and also spending so much money every year and having to pay it back the whole year the next.or having rabbits at Easter laying eggs.instead of thinking about the true meaning.just things like that.

Seems to me they're just fine, although I'm not one I know I probably get classed as one in here because of my Native American beliefs...anyone who isn't of the Christian persuasion seems to get labeled as all kinds of things in this forum. I believe everyone should be able to walk their own chosen paths in peace.

I am a Wiccan. I was raised Catholic, but it never felt right or true to me. I am far more at peace with myself now.
