Powerade or Gatorade would be my choice. But if you prefer water, try Propel which is marketed by Gatorade. You'll need something with alot of electrolytes (which is what energy drinks have). Drinking liquids with sugar, caffeine, or even plain water will make you dehydrated over time.

My Doctor once told me to drink isotonic drinks to avoid dehydration, these are the 'sports' type drinks, I think lucozade make some...but not the original lucozade, that is only useful if you are a diabetic having a hypoglycaemic attack.
Also some water would be handy, but not as good as the isotonic drinks.
