My personal view, is that back in Adam and Eve time, there isn't any religion, but they have the relationship with the Creator, who is God, only unitl the sin came in, and the relationship is broken. They belong to God, because God make them in the image of Him. Religion only happen after that when man is getting out-of control, and some "sect" need to keep them in teaching of "laws" and which is now become the man-make religion.
