I don't know what you are referring to specifically, but some people's ideas of a "joke" are offensive to anybody with minimal sensibilities, or they condone violence or glorify death. Some people think acceptable humor is to deliberately hurt as many people as they can in the name of getting a laugh at others expense. Never cool. If you have a legitimate point to make and can back it up with facts, then fire away and let the chips fall where they may. But do it for the right reasons, and not in the name of a "joke."

Well, I can. :-) I found myself laughing out loud when someone told me the one about Angelina Jolie going to war torn Somalia the other day.
She goes there, and she sees this woman walking along, four paces behind her husband. So Angelina goes up to her and the husband and says "Why do you do this?" and the man says "It is the custom round here".
So Angelina vows to change this for the better.
Anyway, two years on, and the war is over, and there's a more egalitarian democracy in place, and women have the vote. So back goes Angelina, to follow up on her mission.
And when she gets there, she bumps into the same couple, only now the woman is walking TEN paces behind her husband.
So she goes up to the wife and says "You're now equal to men. Why are you still walking behind your man like this?"
And the woman replies "Landmines."
Anyways, I found it funny ...

I once found a web site that is a flash game for shooting kittens. Few people get the joke. There are far more sensitive issues, like WMDs, that are not good material for a joke. Live and learn, I guess.

I know what you mean. I switched my PC on an hour ago and had a violation notice. someone asked about what he could buy with 500 000 African rands and all i said was don't care and added that if it was converted to GBP then it probably would not be much money at all. I got violated for that.

I know what you mean - there are a lot of over-sensitive people. Having said that I don't think its appropriate to put joke answers to a question which is really serious....perhaps about terminal illness or something. Surely we can all play nicely???

they probably have wives/husbands that make thier lives miserable, so have to take out the anger on someone. or the,ve had a bad day at work. most of us have a sense of humour.
