A very pushy soon to be sister in law...set some rules down fast ! Have a private conversation with her. Tell her: " you know I love your brother and we are planing to spend the rest of our lives together"..I've noticed that you & I have very different styles of communicating and I want to talk to you abou it now...Give her a few examples of how she's acted too pushy, tell her how it made you feel . Suggest you come to an aggreement of how the two of you will face fututre situations wherein You'll ask her opinion when you want it, and when she starts to push your button you can agree on a cordial way to handle the situation. Tell her you're looking forward to having a good relationship with her since you both love her brother. It's most important that you paint a clear picture to her of how you need her help & cooperation in moving through this issue that, has made you feel uncomfortable in the past. Good luck... Honesty works best.

I had a very pushy in-law. Like one time she called and said that Paul wasn't going to work because he had to move a couch for his sister. I said," Pardon me? Mary, I love you to death, but you are the most controlling person I ever knew. Paul Is going to work tomorrow." She got mad and hung up on me. I have had a few runs with her since, but she finally gets the big picture. I just stay matter of fact with her, and let her know she can not push me around. Good luck.

Tell her your not the one she is going to marry and to stop being so pushy with you. Even married couples aren't pushy with each other. If she needs something from you she needs to ask you in a respectful way. You don't want problems with her. You have to be straight up and tell her. Mentioned it to your brother in case she goes back to him and tells him different.

The sister in regulation is fully low fee. I extremely have one like that. A cousin of my Dad's grew to become into very helpful and his toddlers now own a small airline. of path, they do no longer look to be close kinfolk to us (much less to my sister in regulation) and we don't ever talk... different than while my sister in regulation is composed of "visit" and ask for unfastened tickets.

The best thing to do is to sit down and talk to her. She may not even realize that she is as pushy as she is.

You tell your brother that you find her pushy and that if she crosses the line, you will discipline her.
When she crosses the line (and she will) you yank that chain hard, but without viciousness
