The Pope's speech is irrelevant. Religious offense, attacks on pride, et al, are not legitimate reasons to endanger or kill people, thus the latter is murder.

Do you think I'm refering simply to protestations against the Pope? No, I'm refering to threats and murder.

I'm hardly being evil by appropriately calling some of the extreme reactions to what the Pope said evil. More to the truth, I'm being accurate.

The status, good or bad, of what the Pope said, doesn't defeat my argument.

While I'm guilty of initially generalizing, and I apologize for that, some of you are unbelievable rationalizers. It's rather quite disgusting.

It furthers the cause of Islam, to bully the rest of the world into submission, so I don't expect to see many prominent Muslim leaders speak out against it.

The Pope challenged Muslims to rise up and be reasonable. They chose rather to demonstrate the truth of that 14th century comment about Islam spreading by the sword and being inhumane.

If mainstream Islam were against the sort of brutality we've seen these past few days, then the majority of Muslim leaders would be speaking out against it. They are not.

You must be lost. There was nothing EVIL about the Pope's speech but there was a lot of EVIL in the way the Muslim world reacted.

A religion, any religion has to be very shallow if it cannot stand a little criticism. Look at the amount of noise the Muslims are making over the Pope citing a historical statement made centuries ago. Apparently the Muslim world cannot handle some straight talk. If that's true then maybe they should take a look at themselves.

Don't be beguiled by the bs "Abousait' wrote. His little essay is so full of holes it leaks like a seive. Now, to your question. No, the islamic world is not going to rise up and condemn the murder of an innocent nun in Somalia, or the burning of property and beating of innocent people. They will minimise the insane overreaction of muslims everywhere and rationalize it away as is their custom.

If it comes down to it as some believe it's heading, that is a global confrontation between Christians and moslims, then I hope we hold nothing back. If they want to go to Paradise I think it is only neighborly of us to help them along, if we can!

I think what the pope said caused peoples evils reaction. People can believe what they want we not to condemnn them but we try to get them believe the way a christian does. We can't condem them the way he did made the pope out to be evil and that going to caused an evil reaction, and to me he was wrong people can believe what they want. I believe he was the cause of violence and he caused the evil and he was making fun of people which is wrong.

popes statement is not wrong first off all it is not his comment secondly there whould have been peaceful demonstrations if pope was wrong, but showing that they are bullies as lways from centuries the reaction is definelt evil and voilent, mulim world sucks as useual. they want everyone to be secular but they do not want thwmselves to be secular, are there any human rights existed in muslim world? ladies are treated like commodities say talauge three times marrage is gone t dogs, each islam civilisation.

it is true that chiristanity lead crusade but they stopped t now chirst nver asked any one to convert or die it is humans who screwed it up same way islmists should understand that mohummnd might have never said anything to kill othres it is only bcos the place where islam existed had no othrer choice other than change what is written in quran so they added their ownrules and not leaving them.

remeber most of the muslim rulers are plunderres robberrs you can mommhud ghori he plundered india 108 times raped and abduted hindu women.

the reaction of muslims for a caricature on mohummad was to beat up hindus in india (tell me in what way hindus are concerned about the caricature)

the reaction of hindus towards a painter (MF hussain) he painted godess lakshmi as a sexbomb naked with veena was a peaceful demonstration no beating up of muslims, so tell me dear who is voilent, we do not know what is written in quran but we will know what is being done my islam and what we are suffering from it.

what is there to be reacted about? Pope's opinion about Islam is irrelevent. Admittedly, he represents Christians, who are against Islam and Muslims. Expecting praise for Islam from Pope is ridiculous. His opinion on Islam carries no weight.

you do no longer believe what the Pope quoted from the 14th century? What do you propose no longer paying interest. His speech grew to become into approximately uniting all believers in God. did no longer you examine all what he grew to become into asserting? He did no longer ignite something. He grew to become into chatting with followers, believers in God. Muslims overreact by way of fact their government insists that they do. And their government(s) have alterior motives. They burn issues out of protest. yet while their former President got here to the USA of a final week and mentioned propose issues in some extensive church here did the USA of a burn that former President in effagy? Heck no, we purely left out the guy. reason he wasn't thinking. All i be responsive to is that Islam desires to usher with reference to the tip of the international so their savior would arrive...he neglected the date he grew to become into meant to reach some weeks in the past. they do no longer want to go through the embarassment that perchance, purely perchance they have been incorrect and could have believed interior the unique savior. yet in addition, there's a cultural and language barrier and Islam purely would not understand individuals, and individuals do no longer incredibly care (regularly) if somebody would not understand them.

the Muslims have evidently not heard of : that the only thing we are in control of is our reaction. They reacted violently . Chavez usual reaction is jumping and accusing the President . I am surprised that he was able to control his usual jumping in the UN , perhaps he needs agift of a new dictionary to learn some new words. That would be an improvement

Islamic organizations are always looking for new things to blame their bloodthirst on. Today, the pope's speech... yesterday, Danish cartoons.... tomorrow, an American might fart while standing next to a jihadist.

I hope all of you are ready. The lines are being drawn in the sand. It is up to all of you to decide and have the stomach for what is coming. Iran's president AhkmaLOONEYjad, Hugo Chavez, North Korea, etc.. have already chosen sides.
