My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Theoretically if you burn more calories then you take in you will lose weight. To do this you should add all the calories you eat exactly and then calculate how much you burn a day. You can find a list of how many calories different exercises burn online, just Google it. But if you just eat a low cal diet, and exercise your should not need to bother with calculations. I think you should do some resistance training like push ups or weights. You won’t get masculine or bulky unless you work very hard with very heavy weights so don’t worry about that. If you do some resistance training your muscles will begin to burn calories even when not working out and they will speed up your metabolism. Muscles burn fat while at rest. Combining this with your walks should help, or if you feel motivated or are very dedicated you may want to run a few miles instead. Good luck, and don’t expect quick results or start out doing it every day or anything, it should be gradual and can take months or longer, but little by little you will start looking better and better.

Sounds like you are on the right track as far as exercise! Try keeping a food diary for a week or so, write down EVERYTHING that you eat and drink in a day. Chances are you are taking in more calories than you think. You can get books that have calorie and fat contents for pretty much any type of food (including fast food) at Barnes and Nobles. Pick one up, count how many calories you are taking in, and figure out where to cut back. Good luck, I am sure you will do great!

I lost 12 pounds in three weeks. All I did was cut fast food out of my diet and went to the gym every other day for two hours straight with the emphasis on cardio. Good luck.

Now doing the ONE DAY DIET feel great!! and healthy for 3 weeks now its great, I eat what I want every other day and Eat the Vanilla or Chocolate wafers on diet days with only fruit.
I have lost 10 lbs I also am walking 3 miles a day to increase my weight loss, I was on the diet drug phentermine and it really messed me up for a bit, never will do that again but like you I desparately wanted to lose and a friend introduced me to this diet. email me at gputtputt@aol.com and I will send you the link.
