2 of our cats have gone missing lately. The only one we have left is their son, who seems to want to do nothing but sleep since his dad went missing yesterday. His mother went missing about 2 weeks ago, and he seemed okay, but now he's just depressed. What can I do to comfort him?

Play with him, hold him, pet him, and, maybe, find him a friend. He's probably lonely! And keep them inside! They live longer, and have less disease if they're inside and safe!

First, keep inside and Safe! Then he needs lots of cuddling and attention. He is almost certainly depressed from loosing his "buddies".

You might want to have a vet check him out too, for illness. It could be the others succombed to something; if so, he could have the same thing & you could treat it.

Spend lots of time with him, and he'll eventually get over missing them.

A better question is, where are your cats going??
If they're fixed, they tend not to wander. If not, they could be gone for weeks, creating more little kitties (bad).
Hopefully, you'll find them!

Aww!

Yes, pet and love him. Play with him a little. And if you can't find Mom and Dad, get him a kitten to be his companion. Kitties do get lonely, though some seem aloof at times.

Good luck!
