My parents have a huge pear tree, and nobody ever uses them for anything. They all just get wasted or go rotten.

You can make a really awesome pizza with pears...I know - it sounds gross at first, but just listen...
You make your pizza crust and add some alfredo sauce as the base. Then you add some mozzarella cheese, and then some pine nuts. Then add thinly sliced pears to it.
It is really really good. Try it - you might like it!

pear tarts are a favorite of mine...check bon appetite .com also Martha Stewart .com also there delicious in salad (greens ,gorgonzola cheese, and some toasted pecans) i also dice them up and add to chicken and turkey salad-along with dried cranberries and walnuts .my aunt used to can them with a cinnamon flavored juice i don't have the recipe ...but I'm sure one of the above mentioned site will have it (or close ) pear cider is delicious/along with pear sauce(like apple) and can be frozen good luck to you (as you can tell we have trees too)

if u have so many make marmelade!
there is recipe where u cook them with red wine and preserve them!
try like apple cake but with pears!
pear smoothies
pear ice cream!
what a shame thet they go to waste!
maybe try to donate them to a shelter or church?

Use in salad. Poach. Make syrup, jam or pear butter. And, of course, pack them in your lunch.

eat them, can them ,if you have too many give them away.Take them to some orphanage KIDS love good ripe pears.
