Why do you care so much about stupid bananas? Go ask in the Garden section idiot. What a moron, if you know then why ask a stupid question? Are you on Survivor or something? I don't care how bananas grow. I don't even like bananas or gardening, so shut your trap garden boy.

What - don't you think it's god's wondrous work that he made it fit the hand just perfectly? That it has its own container, handle; that it points to the face and fits the mouth just right?
I hope you're referring to Kirk Cameron's very funny video. Do they not know that the banana was pretty much engineered by man to be that way?
By Kirk's (and the ID movement) logic, I guess I could say the same thing about male genitalia in regards to a female's hand and mouth. They were just made for each other. [smirk]

It's "Why do ignorant North Americans 'not' know how bananas grow?" OR: "...how 'a' banana grows?"
I don't usually correct people's grammar, except those who play the smart.ss about other people's ignorance.

Yes I know, I am a botany major I have to know. It is in the plantain family, and, contrary to popular belief, is NOT a tree. It is in the genus Musa and gets yellow fruits that grown in bunches with a single seed at their tip. So there.

It's just not the kind of thing that comes up in conversation. The cultivation of bananas is not important in my day-to-day life. It isn't important to me at work. We aren't necessarily ignorant; we just don't need to know.

I went to Haiti when I was younger and saw the Haitians climb the tree to get bananas for us. Don't quite know why it bothers you if people don't know.
