I have a new job at the hospital Ive been working at and Im going to be on my feet for 12 hrs a day. I imagine my feet are going to be hurting by the end of my shift. Other than buying a good pair of comfortable shoes, does anyone have any other ideas or advice on how to keep the pain to a minimum?

Dansko and Clarks! My boyfriend swears by them when he's in surgery for hours. I used to waitress and I got the saftey step shoes from payless and had custom made insoles put in, and I could go all day with out pain. You will get used to it. There are also special crocks for nurses.

The insoles WORK!! they are about 20$, but worth it. Also be sure to put feet up for awhile when you get home:)

Soaking your feet with salts (go to a drug store and ask about it). Also Mary Kay has some great products that make your feet feel great. www.marykay.com/eschmit

Try and find a Tempurpedic insole. Will definitely take the "shock factor" out of the day.
