Ok...I Don't understand..Almost everytime I sign on my yahoo messenger..Guys come out of no where wanting to talk dirty with me..I just don't get it..How do they find me..? lol

I get it all the time too, I have no idea but I don't want a girl talking dirty too me, unless the situation warrants it, let alone a guy I don't know, I say hello guys I'm also a guy, lol.

It sounds like you have your ID listed in the Yahoo Member Directory. You can change this by editing your "Public Profile" in Yahoo. Inside of Yahoo messenger click on the "Messenger" menu then "My Account Info". After you enter your password you will be on a web page with some options on the right hand side. Click on "Edit/Create Profiles" and the Yahoo profile you want to edit. At the top of the next page click on "Edit my profile information" and finally you can get to the actual profile. At the bottom of this page in Display Options there is a check box called "Directory Listing" make sure that it is not checked. That should do it as far as strangers go, but that wont stop people you know from talking dirty to you :)

Try signing on as "invisible" or just click on "ignore" if you want to get rid of them.
You can also set your messenger up so only the people on your buddy list can see you on line!

you may have a blog with your details, or some kind of profile with details about you...what i do now is go in on invisible, no one can see you log in, you can still contact your friends by opening their message box...if this continues contact abuse.com and paste their messages and ID to them, they will immediately remove them from yahoo, you can also block and remove these people when they come in...just look on their message box and find the red x....hit it....poof....gone...

Youve got it posted or open somewhere. Go thru everything again, if you want it to stop, then fix it.
Also, when they start popping on your screen, you have the option to ignore.......but maybe you like the attention...hmmm

because your IM identity is shown here on yahoo answer,change your profile by hiding your IM and email adress...
