First, yes, most girls appreciate compliments WHEN THEY ARE SINCERE.
Second, be careful here. She may have focused on developing flexibility, in which case, a sincere NON-SEXUAL compliment would probably warm the cockles of her heart. But, can you make that compliment in a NON-SEXUAL manner? If not, then don't do it, man. :-)
and Third, I don't believe she'd view you as a desperate loser if you did have a sexual thought about her while talking to her - unless, of course that's how you view yourself. (People in our environment are amazingly telepathic when it comes to our views of ourselves.) But, if your conversation is laced with innuendo, she just might think you are a jerk. Or not!?!!

Depends on the guy and exactly what you said.
If you stared at her boobs, stuttered and drooled a little, then, she's thinking desperate as anything. Especially if you weren't working out. If you go to a gym, workout, even if you are only there to score. It lends a little truth to your scheming.
If you complemented her then asked something about her workout schedule, then that's better. Show an interest in something beyond your woody and you will get further with her.

No. Do not start a conversation with a compliment. Woman/girls get suspicious of your attentions if this is your initial contact. Start a conversation with a general topic. Get the girls attention, and then interject a compliment. Nothing puts a woman more on the defensive than a compliment coming too soon.

Nothing wrong with starting a conversation with a compliment but I dont think the flexibility thing is a good one. I would immediately think that your talking about my flexibility for a sexual purpose. Not a good first conversation/impression.

well, nothing wrong with starting the conversation with compliments but just make sure they're sincere & not pure bulls! however, if guys start conversations with compliments, girls would normally think that they are just trying to catch the girl's attention...girls are more smarter these days! Ü

Complement a girl on her little things. Like her tender hands, ear lobes or that twirly strand of hair.
Say "what a brilliant combination of beauty and brains she is."
Complement a girl for her thoughtfulness
just sound genuine
She'll like u.

Telling her she was really gd at gym might work, but not saying how flexible she is. Complimenting her on her looks is fine as long as u say it seriously.

No, don't start the convo with that compliment! Compliments are alwys nice, but they should come at the right time and never sound forced.

If you start the convo with a comment on her flecibility all she will hear is "I want to bed you" and she will be like... "freak!"

I'm thinking that if it is a comment on some skill that she has, then she would probably like it. But if your comment sounds sexual (like comments on her looks or her flexibility), then she gets that all of the time and she probably thinks that it is lame by now.

I love it when a guy complements me..it makes me feel good about myself..and I always tend to blush..I think everyone likes a complement now and again..When it comes from a guy you really like...thats even better..
