Nope. It was tried with monkeys. The poor things were paralyzed for the rest of their little lives.
Anyway, think of it: Your personality and mind reside in your brain. What would you do if you suddenly woke up in a body that wasn't yours? Most people would end up going bonkers!

I think amazon.com sells an "at-home Lobatamy" kit for like $59.99.
You should try it out, let us know how it goes. I heard that the easy part is getting the brain out, but the hard part is getting the brain out.
