I am still in highschool... but i want to know what it is called if i want to work for like a magazine or whetever taking pictures and writing stuff for the magazine as well. I have heard of photojournalism but thats not what i want to do b/c they focus mainly on photography and i want to do more writing but can travel or w/e and take pictures. does anyone know what it is called or what kind of majors in college or w/e i would need? any help would be great!

does it make a lot of money? b/c when im older i want to be comfortable with money and stuff.

Its called freelance journalism. You need a lot of english courses, and go to a journalism school. Syracuse is one of the best in the country for that. And like someone said just because you major doesnt mean that is what you will do when you leave college. so go for the journalism, you may have to start at a local paper or something like that first, then you can do other things.

Understand that just because you major in a particular subject that does mean that you are permanently locked into that area. So if journalism is your thing, then go for it. Then you can learn photography at a later time.
