There are so many good restaurants in New York, but my personal favorite is the Stage Delicatessian on 7th Avenue and 55th Street. They have the best corned beef and pastrami sandwiches in the world. Been eating there since the 1940's. A bit more expensive now.

New York has so many good places to eat, it's difficult to choose. I don't know what your preference is or your price range. The best bet would be to buy a newspaper, NY Times, NY Post etc and check their restaurant reviews.

I was in NYC last month for a meeting and had the best dinner of my life at Mortons Steakhouse. I think it was on Madison Avenue. It was out of this world! Call the concierge at the hotel you will be staying at - or any 4 or 5 star hotel (Marriott Marquis, Crowne Plaza, Ritz Carlton are some suggestions). That is what concierges do - they recommend things.

Enjoy!

Dinosaur BBQ up in Harlem. It's an awesome restaurant that originated in upstate New York (Rochester I think). There's also one in Syracuse. The food is out of this world and the prices are incredibly reasonable.

There is an amazing Italian place called Carmine's. Its right off times square (Broadway) off of 41st St I think. The food & service was off the hook & for New York, reasonably priced for family style!! YUMMY! I miss it!
