OK...I was walking Rory my beloved Great Dane on Saturday, when I noticed this attractive lady walking her pet Rotti. We started chatting and she ended up back at my place. One thing led to another and we were making out. Then her rotti (Ariel) started growling like crazy. Andrea (the girl) confessed that Ariel sleeps with her and has broken up many relationships. I confided in her about Amy and Rory and she was sympathetic. Now what? Is our relationship doomed already.

I don't think so. It can be a win-win situation if played right. Why don't you fix up Ariel and Rory, so then instead of of her being like a third wheel, she could have a little something of her own? I've read your stories about Rory and he would be a great catch for any female dog! Once Rory and Ariel start getting busy, she won't know or care what you are doing with Andrea.

Who is Amy? What relationship? You just met her! Give it time and if it was ment to be it will work out. Do you really think it was Ariel who is responsible for breaking up all of those past relationships or could Andrea have had something to do with it?

The both of you need to talk this one out. If it means that the Rotti needs to be crate train or both of the dogs need to be train to stay in the crate over night. This will allow the both of you to enjoy your time together. This can work out you both need to want this and it will. I hope that this was enough for you to solve this problem. Good luck and best wishes to the two of you.

Until the dog gets to know you, maybe it ought to stay outside when you go to her place. She has "humanized" the dog, and is too protective of her. Dogs get like that. My Lab is in love with my husband, and wants him all to her self, so we have to let her know that she cannot have him all to herself. We cuddle and say, we love each other and her too. She will look like she is sad but understands. She is close to both of us, but my husband is the dominant one in her mind. Unless you make the dog your friend, then it could be a problem, the dog has already claimed her as his. Try bringing dog biscuits and playing with the dog, petting and being friendly by yourself, see if that works. Good luck.
