I would buy the big can, eat half of it, then put the rest of it in something else like chili or make it with something else and store it for another meal. I know you don't eat leftovers, but even if you don't use it, throwing it away won't be a big deal. We're talking pork and beans not caviar!

That depends on what your priorities are. If you're really big on saving the environment, you should probably buy the small can. If you're more interested in saving money, buy the big can. I think the best solution would be to learn to eat leftovers.

If you are not able to purchase the large can and use the leftovers in a stew, soup etc. or just plain freeze it.
Start shopping at stores like Big Lots, Sam's, Cosco, They do
sell these small flip top can in 6 packs that will cost less than
the regular market.
good luck

If you don't eat leftovers and you're worried about being wasteful, you really do have other mental issues that should be addressed before going into a grocery store. Why would you not eat leftovers. If I was worried about wasting fifty cents, I think I wouldn't be so picky about what I ate.

Buy the bicg can for a buck and pitch half of it. The cost per EATEN serving is less w/ the big can.
