CD writer is the most important thing you should have. Then you could purchase a software (Nero is the best). Or if you want to burn some music files and create an audio CD, then you could use Windows Media Player. Remember, you can't burn a CD if you do not have a CD writer. (Its different than a normal CD drive)

First u should have cd burner.
After that u can use Nero software to burn the cds.

you will have to first have a cd writer and then an application which supports this feature (burning)

Maybe you can try burning software like Nero, or Alcohol or Daemon...
