As a guy, let me tell you, subtle hints don't work, really obvious hints don't work. You must yank us around, grap us by the shoulders, give us a good shake, and then tell us what you're thinking or what you want. If you want to be a little more sexy, you can place a hand in on a strategic part of our body, same thing goes though, not just a pinch or a quick grab. Leave your hand on the body area of choice until we notice and you have finished asking or telling us what's on your mind and you get a response.

So simple....
1. Choose a guy you know is available.
2. Start talking to him at every opportunity and get real touchy feely with him.
3. In conversation, say to him things like I sure wish someone like you would ask me to the prom. That may be too obvious so be more subtle and hint at it. If he is interested, he will ask. But you cannot force it.
The other way would be to follow the slutty advice of others. Its your choice.

be really loud around him when you are with your firends and then he would probably notice you or the other way is that you should have the guts and just ask him a question pretending you dont know were a direction is. This would then get you two going in a convo and then take it from thier.

you wanna make him really notice you? go up to him and ask him to the dance... he'll notice and probably feel relieved cause he didn't have to muster up the nerve to ask you... (or some other girl) Guys get nervous too.... we girls should make the first move too... i have done that many times... ask a guy out and not wait for them to ask me out. It tends to work out in my favor cause i ask out a guy I'd like to get to know and i don't have to wait for them to ask me. That is a waste of time...
besides what is the worst that could happen? he could say no... then again.. he'll probably say yes!
