I was wondering about this because here in the united states women seem to like tall men. This has been awkward for me because I am not that tall. What cultures does this exhist the most? is it just in the US?

I think it's everywhere. People seem to equate tall with strong.

It's not that they prefer taller men, just that most men are taller than them. In one of my psychology classes we were talking about something like this. We read that the average man is 5 inches taller than the average women with the average man being 5'7" and the woman being 5'2"... chances are that just about every woman will have a boyfriend or husband that is about 5" or more taller. That's just they way it is.

I have found out that women in the philippines and other asian countries don't really care to much about how tall the guy is as long as he is a good person and treats them well

I am quite tall (6'5") and I find that this particular characteristic about me attracts more women than any other physical feature I possess, despite the notion that I have other features that I consider to be more striking. My international travels have shown this to be even more the case outside the U.S. and in our own country. It is good to be tall.

most of the times,height doesn't really matter.women do prefer tall men but their nature n what's inside them matters more than their height.so don't fret about your height n just be yourself a pleasing personality n it'll definitely work its charm.

i don't think it is just with women in the US..i think it applies to women anywhere in the world..it is really odd if the guy is shorter than the girl however, if you really like the person, height wouldn't really matter..what matters most is the compatibility & the feelings you have for each other..don't be skeptical about being short..you'll find your match someday..Ã

I don`t like very tall men, 1,80 is enough for me...they look ridiculous if they are to tall...this is my point of view...maybe because I am not from USA...?
