I am 26 and my husband is 18 years older. We are totally in love with each other, but I can tell you that it's definitely not easy. We're married now, but my family was vehemently against the marriage at first. Also, due to his age and the age difference, we decided it would be best not to have children. The whole child-bearing thing is a big issue - you are still young and have many more years ahead of you. The two of you really have to be sure about this. It's not easy, but you can make it work. The worst thing that I 've experienced is people staring at us, especially by strangers at department stores, etc. They must think I'm a slut or prostitute, and he's my sugar daddy. I just make sure that people know I'm a "Mrs." and not a mistress. Good luck.

My boyfriend is 14 years older than I am and I never once thought about our age different when we met. People and love are always the same....you look for someone who will treat you right and someone whom you are comfortable with. Age difference shouldn't be a big concern to you or anyone else. The ones that do have have an issue with it... is their problem! You should be with who makes you happy and if this guy is the one that can do that....than be with him. You only live once in this world so why not spend that life with someone that can make you happy other than being with someone your age that may not make you happy just to make others happy. Do whats right for you and that is all that should matter...what matters most is your own happiness and not others!

Not sure why you care about what strangers think, but you asked!
What a 50 year old sees in a 24 year old is beyond me. What could you 2 possibly have in common?
When you are 35 and wanting children, he'll be dreaming of retirement. When you are 45 and in the prime of your life, he will be praying for a few more years of life!

wow! thats my dads age hunny and you and i are the same age! my man is 7 years older then me, i have no problem with dating older men, but that would be too old for me. is he more of a sugar daddy to you? or is it a normal relatinship? depends on what you are looking for out of it...i mean he's a bit old to have a family with i would say...chances are he has kids your age. my opinion is...whatever makes you guys happy...if it's worth it to you and you truly love him...then stay and don't worry about the looks people may give you...good luck .

If you are 24 then you should be mature enough to know your heart. I am 16 years older than my wife and that age difference doesn't make any difference to us. So I say go for it Honey...

If you're truly in love then age shouldn't have anything to do with it. What happens between 2 consenting adults is their business, no-one elses.
I hope that it works out well for you both!

You are old enough to make an informed adult decision. If you are in love then you don't have to worry about other people. Love is what it is regardless of age when you are an adult.
Good luck!

When you say it is love,I say nothing is wrong with it.Love is the noblest thing.
To not love someone just because of their age is criminal. If you love ,you love. You don't worry about these minor things.these barriers should not stop you from loving.

You are both legal consenting adults. As long as each of you are comfortable with the difference then it should not matter what others think.
