It depends on your personality i guess. If it doesn't work can you be around the other person and still do your job? or would you be a basket case if it ended?
I've had a couple of work place romances. One didn't work and I never talked to them again and it ruined a good friendship. On the other hand, I married a man I worked with 8 yrs ago and had 2 kids and couldn't be happier. .
So I guess it's all in what you make it.

My husband and I met at work, in a factory, working on the same line. We were basically together 24 hours a day for about 4 years, and it worked out well. We had our hard times, but doesn't everyone? We don't work at the same time now though, we have kids. I miss it though. We knew we would work well in a relationship, because we work well at work. I've dated guys I've worked with before. When they ended, you just have to be mature about it. Either they work, or they don't. It's always worth a try though.

Go for it, but I'll have to warn you. I dated one of my coworkers for a few months and it was pretty cool, but then work and stuff started getting in the way, jelously and promotional things got in the way, and then all the sudden we were arguing alot. Next thing you know, we've broken up, and now I have to go see my ex the next morning! Dam.n dude, it wasn't cool, I'll tell you that. She ended up quitting, but I would have if she didn't beat me to it. It really does depend on your job, but I'd be cautious, especially if you both have the same position or work in the same department, because you'll have to always see her alot if things don't work out, and there could be some competitive issues or managment things that could arise! Good luck

I think they can work no matter what industry you are in, but both people have to be single to start a romance - no cheating on spouses.

My boyfriend and I work directly together in the same office, as a matter of fact the only thing that sepparates us is a sliding glass door that most of the time is open. I believe they work but you have to work very hard at them. you have to be able to separate home life from work life. We also live together, which means we are together ALOT!

do they work? yeah they sure can BUT you have to be very careful depending on what type of romance you are talking about. If things go bad in it you still have to see them at work.

They are ok while things are working out between you ,but if you split up it could be a major problem. But the love of your life could be in your office so i would say to go for it

I never date any one that I work with because if it doesn't work out you are going to run into them everyday unless you quit your job
