I don't personally believe in these Christian End-Time events, but I'm trying to understand those who do.

Didn't the millenium take place already? According to the calendar people, Christ should've been born in 4 BC, making 1996-1997 the true millenium. Then the year 2000 came, and for the purists, 2001, but nothing much happened, same as with 1000, which was the last time people went zooey for no apparent reason except that they were superstitious Christians.

So for all intents and purposes, aren't we plumb out of millenium events until 3000?

I applaud you for trying to understand these nutcases. It is a required first step to helping them give up their crazy, destructive ideas. They think it's okay to destroy the environment and advocate war because it hastens the 'end of the world' where it won't end the world, it will just end the human participation on the planet if they get their way.

Please find a way to help these people; I tend to get exasperated, roll my eyes and change the subject.

Christians will not miss out on the millennium. Theyare actually going to come back from heaven and rule with Christ for the thousand year millenium. It will be awesome. We believe this because it s taught to us in the Holy Bible. There are alot of things that have come true out of the Bible and that just helps to reinforce our faith. I know that God loves us all and would that all wil be saved but knowa that will not happen. It is unfortunate, but we all have choices to make and then live with.

I make it easier to know what - once you notice we've disappeared, you in user-friendly terms go forward and blame it on some alien craft incident, like the television tutor "The 2200" or something like that. this variety while the Lord DOES return with all His saints for the conflict of Armegedon you'll be taken with the aid of ask your self. would not that sound lots greater effective than imparting you with a heads up warning? right this is your warning: Jesus is returning. lots of people who placed off getting stored until eventually ultimately the eleventh hour often times die with the aid of the 10th!

Here is where it is this the Bible.. As you can see a great army follows Him. Those are the forgiven ones the ones that have washed themselves in His Blood... Jim
Revelation 19:11-14
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

It is likely that John was enumerating salvation history and referencing the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. In this case, the 1000 year reign has already happened and we are in the time of the Gentiles awaiting Christ's final return.

Yes, they would miss out. I am a Christian and I don't believe in the Rapture theory. It just isn't what the Bible teaches.

They'll be there when they come back with Jesus to do battle at Armageddon. The Church is the part of Revelation during this time that is described as the "great cloud of witnessess" that return with Him that day.
