I am considering starting my own cake deocrating business which would provide beautifully decorated cakes for weddings, birthdays, christenings etc. My kitchen at home is currently to small and was wondering if there was some commerical kitchen space in the DC Maryland area available for rent.

Get to know your local favorite realtor. And definitely read the local paper. Here in my city there are always commercial kitchens for rent. Even a shared space in a restaurant. And then you might get even more business if they start advertising you too!

I would suggest a church that has a commercial kitchen but that only uses it on Sundays. (If they have a daycare, it will probably be in use during the week as well, so skip them.)
