Evey creature(man-woman) know about GOD they just might want to admit it thought. Jesus said every tongue will say who I am, so they do know or they soon will. there is something born into every one of us, that knows right from wrong, who do you think puts that there? we are born knowing, we just forget over time if this is not nourished, and feed by hearing God's word, then we will turn away, and forget that we should be good, honest, decent people.

There are very few people who don't actually know of Christianity. The problem is not that people don't know that God exists, but instead, which religion has the correct teachings of God. Many religions believe in more than one god as well. If you think about the children of Adam and Eve, I'm sure Cain probably was not happy at all with God for exiling him. He was jealous that Abel's offering was accepted and his wasn't. When he had children, do you think he presented God in a good light? Similarly, although the earth's population was wiped out during the deluge of Noah's day and only Noah's family survived to repopulate the earth, it was still imperfect humans that it was populated with. Some obviously were rebellious and as such, they would probably teach their own children according to their own rebellious views.

Adam in the original translation meant man. Ha-Adam stood for humanity. In the original translation Ha-Adam was said more often. Implicating most obviously that there wasn't just Adam and his equal wife Eve. There is evidence to support this but I'd have to teach you Aramaic and my father (a pastor) is the one who'd know. Believe me when I say that there is a near certainty that after these thousands of years there has been mistranslation. Also what you believe in the end should not be based on others words but from your own observations.

I am of the opinion that all christians should do research on the translations of the bible and learn the ancient languages used to write the bible before they say with certainty that the bible is in its purest form. One mistranslated word can skew the meaning of whole books within those sacred texts.

Now i am not a christian. I don't get those people. I believe that there other people here besides Adam and Eve. Which means that they were not the first. But to answer your question. The statement implies that there is a need to tell people about how they can gain eternal life with him. It is not about telling people that God is great and Jealous and the creator of all things. You are suppose to tell people how to be better persons . How to be in a position to go to heaven. By using the bible. You have to teach people the lessons and parrables in the bible. That's is what is implied.

I can't see the relation between..

Adam and eve being the first humans and
people knowing about god

If we were living with Adam and eve, then yes, everyone would know there is god, anyway..

Spread the word also carries the meaning push people to do right deeds i guess..
Without people advising each other, this world won't work. but anyway, who of the christians care but little ohh and muslims too, iam a muslim, finally, I guess its good that you are asking anyway!!!

An excellent question....particularly since the biblegod whittled down the human population to just a handful (whom he also spoke directly to) when he supposedly wiped out everyone but Noah's family in a flood! And why -- when we apply our modern-day knowledge of genetics to the question -- aren't human beings hopelessly inbred and riddled with genetic defects, having risen from a genetic pool of just two beings? We see in the real world the effects of such inbreeding with the health problems of cheetahs, Persian cats, etc.

Unfortunately, rather than trying to offer an explanation that actually explains anything (or just admit the bible was written by a bunch of Bronze Age primitives), the theists will attempt to whitewash it all by saying, "Oh, it's really a metaphor", or "You can't take THAT part literally, it's just symbolic." Which begs the question: how do we know that ANY of it can be taken at face value; and who gets to make that determination?

Yes, they already know about God.

The word that needs to be spread is the news that Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah has been here and paid the sin debt for our disobedience to God.

We must let them know that redemption is now here and we live in the age of grace, so that they can make the decision to accept or reject the news.

It is amazing to read of tribes that are cut off from the outside world and to hear of how they describe their creator and death.

In the movie and documentary, End of the spear (beyond the gates of splendor) the tribe describes two different deaths, in one if they have done well, they can Jump the great boa, if they have done poorly in life they become food for the termites in the ground. They even talk of a redeemer, but had very little information except that they were waiting for his arrival and to follow his "trail"

I am certain that you have had the experience where you heard a story someone told you about someone you both know. Later, while talking to your mutual friend, you find out that what you were told was totally wrong.

Now imagine this scenario happening over 1000's of years. The truth gets obscured by additions, subtractions and denials.

So the answer to your question is that most people do not know about God. And God has given us the privilege to tell them the "Good News".

After the human race spread and the languages changed, the stories the old men told got changed. It was just too long a time, and the traditions didn't get written down until Moses' time.

Also, this world was handed to the devil by Adam, and he saw to it that memories got clouded.

The preachers experience a soul in every human, of any or no religion. Scratch the skin a little and the Glory can be seen. By the genes in creation, the Humans have the 'will' to accept or reject, to submit or to rebel; to conform or to mutilate a Commandment or a reminder.
