I am not catholic nor a muslim. The world is getting tired of this ****. For those of you saying oh look what the pope said....Big deal... (Remember the sticks and stones thing when you were a kid?) Grow the hell up. Your people are the ones causing this. Not anyone else. If you say they do not represent your religion then it is up to you to get your people correct. I will let you know that it will not take much longer and those muslim countries will be with 72 Virgins, from the worlds and westerns hands.

My heart In Peace and Love.........

The reverend Pope Benedict had quoted some soldier of the past saying that Islam spread with the sword. Since 1492, the Muslim sword is sheathed. Why the religion was not wiped out with the Christian swords? Keep on trying, invain !

I strongly disagree with what the Pope has said.

Could he not find quotes from Thomas Carlyle, Sir William Muir, Edward Gibbon, John Davenport, Count Tolstoy, Bernard Shaw, Rev. Bosworth Smith, Pringle Kennedy or S. P. Scott? These respectable western writers have completely opposite views from that which was quoted by the Pope.

It is unjust and totally incorrect to say that Islam has bought misery to the world and that Islam was spread by the sword! There is a huge difference between how Islam and Christianity were spread, and it’s funny how some Christian writers have forgotten the Crusades or the Spanish Inquisition – or is it that they are so ashamed of this so they attribute it to Islam? Or is the real reason to stop the fastest growing religion on the planet? Which by the way is spreading in the same peaceful way it did when the Holy Prophet of Islam, the saviour for mankind graced this planet with his presence.

Pope – if you’re on cyberspace and reading this, then I suggest you curb the violence that so called Christians in your community are committing – they will give Christians a bad name, media permitting of course! The media are playing a huge role in this propaganda, attempting to turn civilisations; cultures and way of living against one another. Just look at the violence that Bush and Blair are committing - a defensive war against terror? That’s got to be good right? But then why did the word terrorists become linked with Islam? How did the word Islamist come about? Why this attack on Islam? Why all this talk about open dialog and understanding? If that’s what you really want then talk! Don’t rub Muslims up the wrong way and then expect to talk.

At the same time, Muslims out there don’t fall into this trap, don’t be victimised by this attack and attempt on slandering your peaceful, loving Religion, you have your voice, so speak out and always remember - the Holy Prophet was kind and respectful to even his enemies who were bent upon wiping out Islam. The second most important method to stop such attacks on Islam is your prayers. Pray that Allah unites Muslims, Pray that this type of propaganda against Islam does not cast its evil eye on any Muslims, resulting in disgruntled Muslims taking up arms – this is not a time for violence, it’s a time for talk, understanding and Prayers!!

Finally Pope, please take peoples sentiments into account before making any comments on Islam, especially with the current climate and situation of the Islamic World. If you truly want to bridge an understanding then please first study the true teaching of Islam and then look at beauty and similarities of Christianity and Islam – You’ll be surprised to know that we are not worlds apart!

Yeah, people whine about Bush. Just wait until the next election. How many people do you talk to on the street say "Why don't we just nuke them all to dust?"

Get a trigger happy president who will tell people "Enough is enough" and that is what will happen.

It's coming. For better or worse, it's coming...

Islam doesn't have Jesus as Lord and God. Monotheism yes but paying attention to Jesus's life example of peace and healing? A diminished Jesus and unbelief in the visible God and the obvious life example you are supposed to take to heart!

We must be as tolerant as possible of these people who are struggling because they have been told to reject the divinity of Jesus Christ.

To all my Muslim brothers and sisters online here. I think the best solution to the hated question being repeated posted here is just to be patient and be tolerance. Dun get upset about their comments. We know it ourselves that Islam is not about violence. Just ignore these fools and let us go about doing other things tat are more important than trying to convince these people about our religion. We cannot change them if they would not want to change themselves.

Just pray to Him for guidance. Ramadhan is around the corner, pray to Him for the safety of other Muslims and also to the other people from diff races and religion. And pray for peace. Those radical muslims will get their retribution here or the life-after. All we can do is pray. And hope for the best.

Amin!
