Yes, Muslim thugs murdered a nun. They're seeing themselves as justly "retaliating" now against another faith that has "attacked" Islam. This happens because Islam is FAR from being the "most peaceful religion". Don't believe the hype that Muslims might try to sell you. In fact, Islam may hover somewhere right around LAST place, at least nowadays, in so far as peacefulness is concerned.
Buddhism is probably the "most peaceful" religion on earth, in my opinion at least, I mean if you HAD to choose a "most peaceful" religion.
All three of the "Abrahamic monotheisms", Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, have elements of the fighting faith within their core. Judaism (I myself am Jewish) and Islam have much more of that "fighting" spirit, for example the spirit of retaliation instead of "turning the other cheek". These are more like ancient desert / Semitic tribal "codes", like "eye for eye and tooth for tooth", which are inherently bound up with Judaism and Islam due to the cultures they arose within.
Christianity, because of its unique "evolution" away from Judaism, and its savior's message of peace and turning the other cheek, etc, has far less of that. Christianity's message is inherently peaceful, and I believe that's the sole reason there has never been an international trend of , say, "Christian fundamentalist terrorism". Because the Christians' Bible(s) cannot be read in any way to condone fighting or retaliation for example. But still it must be said that Christianity's adherents have oftentimes throughout history been anything but peaceful.

People do a lot of insane things when acting under the influence of religion.
I hope that the majority of Muslims realize that it doesn't matter what the Pope says and practice their faith with out hurting anyone. I also hope Christians don't take this as an implicit nod to reciprocate violent action towards Muslims either.
Let's just pull the chain on religion and be kind to each other irregardless of faith.

No, Muslims are not the perpetrators. True Muslims do not think of those radicals who kill others wrongfully in the name of Allah as other Muslims. Just as Christians have firebombed abortion clinics and led the Crusades in the name of God, Muslims have killed in the name of Allah.
However, neither religion promotes killing and violence. And before you say that the Quran does, it does not promote random violence. Jihads are holy wars. Osama Bin Laden doesn't even have authority to declare Jihad, I believe. Only the tribe leaders and such have that authority. So this Jihad is a farce.
Stop hating on all Muslims because of the actions of few. Or do you think all Christians should be wiped out because of the ones who firebomb abortion clinics?
Edit: Sal G, I don't think there has ever been a war fought in the name of Buddhism. You just pulled that out of your ass.

"by using this fact i'm uncertain what they mean?" Rhetoric? "Are they scaring non muslims that pay attention while you're in non muslim majority united states of america you would be in possibility as islam could quickly attain there." christian missionaries never help becoz someone needs it they have the best bargain that is to convert religion ,

Wars are fought in the name of religion, whether it be Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc.
-It's in our nature to divide and conquer. If we were all blue-eyed people with blonde hair I guarantee we would still find reasons to discriminate and kill each other !!
