Ibuprofen is just a painkiller, it does not get rid of the causes of inflammation except dulling the pain the inflammation causes. If the inflammation is caused by bacterial infection, which is the most likely reason, then antibac medicine is good for getting rid of the bacteria. It is recommended that you should just go see your doctor if it really concerns you

What exactly in your body is inflaming?

It can really depend on the cause. Is this an allergy? A disease? Water retention? A hurt joint or muscle?

I've got bad knees, and generally just use ibuprofen as an anti-inflammatory. I don't know if that will help you, but just be sure to take it with food to protect your stomach.

Any NSAID drug will reduce imflammation in the body. Drugs like Naprosyn, Motrin, Celebrex.

You probably ought to discuss this with your doctor if you are having a problem
Good luck
