If man evolved from monkeys/apes/common ancestors; why are there still humans who ask: "If man evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys"

Did the intelligence to grasp the concept of geographic isolationism only get passed to a few?

Probably.

Blind ignorance... Although geographic isolationism is not a prerequisite for evolution, and it probably wasn't the case in the evolution of man and apes from a common ancestor, the fact that so many cling to a creation mythology in spite of evidence to the contrary is just blind ignorance. Either that or they are baiting jim darwin...

Oh, and the whole evolution is just a theory thing.... come on that is just semantics. Gravity is just a theory after all, but there is not an organized belief system centered around the existance of invisible magic leprachauns that push things towards the earth.

some people are just stupid, but the fact is that evolution is just a theory, yes we know that evolution/mutations occur and that is how we breed dogs for example. A pitt bull and a poodle are both dogs, but are different breeds. And it is evolution that has got us both. and breeding and geographic isolationism, is one in the same. But there is no evidence that evolution has made the jump from species to species. No matter how much breeding you do you cant get a cat from breeding dogs. just like you cant get a human from a monkey.

Its the whole reason why Evolutionist are searching for the missing link, But they have not found it, nor will they.

I understand you, but this is not a clear question. Geographic isolationism is the fancy way of saying, "a bunch of monkeys in a valley evolved into humans because of genetic mutations coupled with unique environmental challenges to their survival (like other really smart monkeys), but the rest of the monkeys in Africa just stayed monkeys because they had no need to evolve in order to survive."

But I ask you this: Do you know with certainty that all the data that you've been spoon-fed really exists? Have you seen in person all the fossils, checked and calibrated all the radiological testing equipment and read the tests first hand?

I don't doubt that evolution is true, but we also have faith in something that you've never really seen. We can see firsthand the chemical and engineering knowledge of scientists. But there really is no product that proves the evolutionary theory by providing to us a neat product based upon this knowledge. Most people have not even studied the sun and stars to prove that the earth revolves around the sun, and all they have to do is look up.

It's an issue of people not wanting to let go of their beliefs plus people who also hold the same beliefs spreading misinformation about evolution. Couple this with the inability of these people to research things they don't understand and it's a wonder they even know that apes and humans are related.

The explanation for the fact that there are no Homo Erectus (and others) still currently around today is that WE killed them off. Either through atrition or competition.

So, it is logical to assume that every iteration of man would have killed off the last iteration. Except that we still have a wide vareity of monkey's, chimps, gorillas, et cetera. So, if your term of geographic isolationism is to be taken at face value, the question does come back to, why are there no Homo Erectus???

I think that the intelligence of the question was lost on you.....

I am grateful to be one of those who grasp it. The concept I mean. LOL
I would love to be geographically isolated with some of my nice YA friends and let the rest of the world fight over who's god can kick who's butt 'til they are extinct.

This question has been asked and stated before. You are right, we have physical proof that evolution in certain forms does exist (I.e. virus's evolve) so why couldn't it be true of humans?

Some people have this little problem with listening and thinking. I think it's GIAR syndrome....God Is Always Right Syndrome. quite a few people on this forum seem to have it.

Sean; where is the geographic isolation? The apes have the same ability to travel as early man there is no isolation.
