It is best that we leave things like this to chance, unless by chance 50% of all parents want boys and the others want girls. Otherwise we would have a population and social crisis.

Well, it didn't bother my wife and I when we were trying to have our fourth child.

However, we had 3 boys, and we were really hoping for a girl.

We found a book called "How to choose the sex of your baby" - and decided to give it a try.

Our philosophy was this - we'd like to have a girl, but if we don't, then that's o.k. - maybe we weren't meant to have a girl.

If we do - then fantastic.

We followed the steps in the book - and were able to have a girl.

Now we're done having kids (four is plenty!).

If you're going to freak out about it - then you probably shouldn't have kids - because the last thing you need is to have a baby who has an inferiority complex because they were "supposed to be a boy" (or supposed to be a girl).

I don't think the law prohibits what we did - so I don't know about it being illegal.

However, I do have a problem if somebody wants a boy, finds out (from an ultrasound) that it's a girl, and then has an abortion - or gives birth, but then abondons the baby.

That's just wrong.

My mama always said life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. And that's the way it is supposed to be. Whether you believe in God or evolution, there are reasons why things are as they are. In China people are selecting boys. Some kind of gender engineering going on over there. So, what happens in a few years when all of those boys want girlfriends and wives? A girl will be pretty damn important then, won't she!

At the risk of sounding "politically incorrect" let's leave God's Work to Him.

intercourse is sport no longer procreation. the only way in a "equivalent" society that a guy must be to blame for a being pregnant is via Rape. If a female pal gets knocked up, the guy ought to have the means to document papers with the county courtroom homestead petitioning for an abortion of mentioned fetus. If the female would not placed as much as terminating mentioned being pregnant at a 50, 50 cut up of the scientific expenses the male must be relieved of any financial duty for mentioned offspring no count if that's dropped at term. in user-friendly terms honest! It takes 2 to Tango!

It does bother me, in countries where this is being tried there will be problems. Most chose a boy if only one is allowed, who will deliver next generation. One man can be used to impregnate thousands women but millions of men can still only impregnate the number of women that are there. It will get the balance of nature off very quickly in my opinion.

i think that choosing the sex of your child is crazy. Can whats between your childs legs really be that important. I think people need to stop being so controling and play the cards they are dealt. If you need to choose the sex of your child you should try adoption of a child that needs a home.

I have a preference of what I want my child to be, but I wouldn't select it by some machine or something. Whatever gender my child is... he or she is...
