It's served by the West Somerset Railway and has a small port and a small trading estate. Beyond that I fear you'll be going elsewhere formuch else.

Went there several years ago and would agree with a previous answer about Blue Anchor they used to serve good beer and food but may have changed hands now there are a couple of other pubs cant remember the names and some good restaurants but is a small sleepy village so not a large amount of watering holes or eaterys, service was always prompt and friendly and never had cause to complain. hope this helps.

there are several quite nice pubs, sorry I can't remember the names, and a nice Indian restaurant. But I wouldn't stay there a week: Exmoor is just down the road, so do get there, it's lovely.

used to go to Watchet we were going to buy a caravan site there but never did ,there are some country pubs with resturants thereused to be a nice cafe/resturant at Blue Anchor did nice food on sea front,have a nice time,its a place to go walking from
