I am a hairstylist of 9 yrs. I have never once colored my own hair (besides when I was younger as a teen) because it is alot harder than what you might think.

Even w/ this new touch up kit you purchased you are going to probably end up w/ dark spots. It is very ackward doing your back, even w/ a mirror you can not see what you are doing.

I'm sure the box color will not match up w/ the color you already have which means you are going to end up w/ two-tone hair, or even 3 because like I said you are going to end up missing a few spots.

If I was you I would consider maybe going to a beauty school. There you are gonns end up w/ an even color and it'll save you in the end because you wont have to go pay for a corrective color which usually cost more than double than just a basic color.

Alot of times the beauty school is about 1/2 of what you would pay in a salon. Plus you have licensed instructors looking over the work so nothin can go wrong.

Stylist of 9 yrs.

Hi havent but i dont think it is a good idea, unless you know what to do and how to apply the colour to your roots then. I have tried to dye just my roots before using the same principle as nice and easy, as i watched a hair dresser do it, whilst i was getting my hair done, but it never turned out how i wanted it. I would either stick to getting it done at the hair dressers or just leave your own colour to grow out. Because if you use the root touch up you may do it wrong and it wont be reversable so you will have to let it grow out anyway, or dye over it in a darker dye. But im sure you dont want to do that.

Hi, just try to keep the color off the rest of your hair to eliminate any damage or build-up.
The color you choose may not blend in completely but, after it's dry it may not be noticeable. If it really doesn't work, your cosmetologist can fix it the next time you go in for a touch-up. Be aware, however, that if you need it lighter, the next step may be bleach, or a higher volume of peroxide.
It is hard to say without knowing your hair color, the natural root color, and the color you are going to use on the roots. Good Luck. Contact me if you wish. =o) Cosmetologist

I Didnt Like It That Much.Try Cream Of Nature. Its Really Stong Because Of The Amonia,But Other Then That,I Like It.I Highlight My Hair Myself. The Last Time,I Had My Hair Highlighted,It Cost Me $75.00 And To Get My Hair Done Was Like $35.00 So Your Best Bet,Is To Do It Yourself.
