We were good friends but I fell for him. We ended up sleeping together, but nothing changed between us though I wanted more. The other night, I couldn't take it anymore. We were both a little tipsy and I called him and I told him I didn't want us to be friends anymore, that it was too hard bc I have grown to care for him so much, and it's better for me if he wasn't in my life. I told him not to call me anymore. I guess he doesn't care for me that way bc if he did, he wouldve said so or he wouldve called me by now. It's been 3 days. I know it's best to not speak to him if he doesn't love me back, and I got what I asked for. I don't regret what I said and I have nothing else to say to him. Well, today is his b-day. I cared for him alot and I thought maybe I should send him a text just saying happy birthday so he knows I didn't do this to be a complete b**** and that I don't have hate for him. Should I do this or just let it be?

This isn't a way to "grasp" at him to be friends again. I was just at his house for his pre-birthday party on Friday, and today is his actual b-day. He knows I'm one of the few that know his actual b-day.

You said, "It's better for me if he wasn't in my life," and that you don't regret saying that. And now, you want to text him. Texting him means he IS in your life, that he exists for you, and, more importantly, that you care enough about him to wish him happiness. You must make up your mind. Do you want him in your life or not? If you do, text him. If you don't want him in your life, don't text him or have any other contact of any kind. Stop sending the poor guy mixed messages!

Just let it be. I think you're grasping at straws for an excuse to contact him and maybe open up the lines of communication again. That would be fine if you could accept him as a friend and nothing more but if you still feel like you can't live with that then it's best to just let it be.

I think you should just follow whatever your heart is telling you......I guess there's not harm in wishing him a happy bday but make sure you don't say anything else to him, only happy bday!! I think you should just let go, if you don't want to get hurt real bad, but I guess you already did, but trust me it could get worse if you stay with him!!! Good Luck

It wouldn't hurt to send him a message. It took both of you to sleep together. So, you can't really be mad at him for not wanting more.
