It is my opinion that those who are the most offended are those who have not even read the comments in the context of the entire speech. It is a fallacy to say that MOST muslims are violent. However, like in soccer and rugby, it is the violent minority who give the peaceful majority a bad name. It must be remembered that free speech is a right. The right to be offended is a right. But both of these rights come with responsibilities.
If I use my right to free speech and you are offended, I must accept the consequences. If you are offended, you do not have the right to violate one of my rights in return.

No, I find nothing unusual in the Islamic response.
Do you forget the riots brought on after "The Prophet" was characterised. They protested Denmark... Denmark.
Do you forget that this is a religon that has men and women strap bombs to themselves, run planes into buildings, use trucks filled with explosives, and asks for the destruction of an entire race of people.
In Islam the "Truth is an offense, but not a sin" idea is lost. You have in their midst a bunch of greedy powerful regimes who keep their populace at a 3rd grade level so that they can force feed the Quran down their throats anyway they see fit. So esentially we are dealing with a bunch of 9 year olds.
I am not a catholic, in fact I'm the anti-catholic, but what the pope said is true for all things. No cause is righteous enough to justify whole sale murder. What is even worse about this whole situation is that the pope was quoting a Byzantine Emporer. This means that these people have been this why for the better part if not all of their history.
Sometimes I wonder if Hitler had the right idea. He just went after the wrong people. Okay that is low, but I think this should put into perpestive the type of people that the Western Democracies are dealing with. If we do no find a way to quite frankly destroy the philosophies of Islam this conflict will never end. How do you accomplsih that? Education. How do you get to a point to provide said education...?

Actually this is normal behavior from them. Think of them as you would a group of monkeys. If you **** off one, then suddenly it and all the rest start screaming, pounding their chests, jumping up and down, breaking things, and throwing feces at you and each other. Muslims just take it to the next level and start killing everyone.

At least we have a Pope that speaks his mind. I guess it's because he's a squarehead (and I love squareheads because they do.)
I was married to a German guy at one time, by the way

i imagine of the pope’s remark to ISLAM is amazingly hypocritical. How can he state that the Muslim faith is violent? Did he overlook appropriate to to the Catholic inquisition? the position 1000's of one thousand's of human beings the position killed interior the decision of religion? it would not make it a lot less violent as a results of actual reality it exceeded off years contained in the previous. The Catholic Church has a really bloody previous. in accordance to possibility you'll want to look on the historic previous of it before jumping to conclusions. i'm not Islam, or catholic. On a aspect word: Islam itself isn't forging a jihad over Catholics, in basic terms communities. you're in a position to not condemn a faith over the strikes of a few stray sheep. if you're attempting this, then you actually definately are breaking one among Christianities valued recommendations, it really is do not settle on thy neighbor. shrink than is slightly historic previous of the persons murdered shrink than the inquisition: "between the innumerable victims of the Inquisition were such nicely-cherished human beings as a results of actual reality the truth seeker Giordano Bruno, Galileo, Joan of Arc, and the non secular order of knights known because the Templar’s. The organization and its excesses were a humiliation to many modern-day Christians. In anti-Catholic and antireligious polemics as a results of actual reality the Enlightenment (operating party, Voltaire's Candide), the Inquisition has been suggested as a significant party of what's effortless to be the barbarism of the middle a lengthy time period. In its day there grew to develop into into some wide-spread sympathy for the Inquisition. some said it as a political and economic device, others, as a necessary protection for non secular idea. regardless of the glaring undeniable reality that, regardless of all efforts at know-how the organization interior the mushy of social, political, non secular, and ideological factors, in the present day the Inquisition is oftentimes admitted to belong to the darker aspect of Christian historic previous."
