as to my previous question "what kind of new car" what about a 2003-2004 nissan xterra? im not having much luck looking up the mileage on older models...can anyone give me some specs?

Honestly, I do not think that anyone can give you the exact Mileage of any car. The reason for this is that the Mileage of a car depends on too many variables.

It depends on the following :-

Road surface conditions,

Wind Conditions,

Way a person drives,

Quality of the Gas,

Tires on the Car,

Load the the car has to move.

Usually the Car manufacturers provide a very basic average mileage only.

Normally for a Nissan Xterra this is said to be between 16-17 miles/gallon.
