This question also includes lesbians as well; please be honest. If a physical fight has occured (even once), please describe WHY you did it, if she fought back after that, and the final outcome: legal/love/other. Almost every damn man I've ever asked has always said they have -never- and would NEVER hit a woman back; but I know from experience that men don't want to admit they are jerks for manhandling their woman. Be a man and admit it!

FYI: I am a female--not a man trying to defend himself or alleviate guilt. I really wanted to know if a woman has hit her man, did he walk away or not? Women also should admit if they have been physical with their partners....Some of you have given excellant answers; I appreciate the reality check while lol at some of the b.s.

Sounds like you're trying to stir the pot and scrape the burnt stuff off the bottom. No... we don't hit our women. Stop rationalizing and go to anger management.
Sorry for the assumption.

being a man has nothing to do with hitting women its never ok to hit your girlfriend or wife and its never ok to hit your husband or boyfriend come on this is 2006 its time for adults to act like adults and control their tempers it should give some insite to how ashamed men are that do that if they do not admit to it.i am sure a 6 ft 180lbs man would feel just wonderful if their friends knew they punched a 5 ft 120 lb woman wow what a big shot!

Guess this doesn't apply to me, but........My husband tried once until I punched him in the nose then pushed my fingernails through his eyes. Everyone has to sleep or come around a corner sometime. If there is no consequence to ones actions then why not do it.
We are still married and happy. But if he ever tried it again I would knock his *** out or he would have to kill me. I want be a victim for anyone.
FYI, he is 6 foot 3 inches tall and 240 pounds and no punk. I am 5 foot 3 and 130 pounds. He blames my aggression on my red hair but it comes from having a strong mother who taught me better.

LOOK do you think a man is going to get on here and admit hitting a woman? HELL no. THAT would set him up 4 all the people to put him down 4 being a coward + abusive.

As a woman who has been involved with violence, I can tell you the type of man who hits. He is an emotionally, mentally insecure person who will always claim he was pushed into hitting a woman. That is a lame excuse. It is a form of control, a "proof" of power.any person being abused in any sense needs to leave that relationship at the first sign . It will only get worse. If you are an abuser, please seek help.

I honestly feel if a woman feels man enough to hit a man then she deserves to be set into her place also. But not to the extreme in any situations. Nobody ever deserves to be hit, it is not a good feeling but some only know how to solve there problems that way.... That is when something needs to be done

Based on all the answers I didn't see, I guess your theory is correct. Men don't want to admit something like this because of the backlash. Well, I'll tell you this, I was on the receiving end of that for many years. I stayed with my husband, we went through years of counseling and anger management. He hasn't layed a hand on me in over 8 years. If you ask him, he'll admit he did that, he doesn't like to, but he won't lie about it either....it was part of our past. We've learned that if he denied it happening, he denied the hurt he caused me. If it's ever brought up, he calls it his "had to prove to the world I was an a@@hole phase".

Yes, I slapped a woman once, over an arguement, in a fit of rage. Felt bad about it in a few minutes and apologies. Promised that it would never happen again. She accepted the apology and warned me not to repeat it.
I havent repeated it till date. I am conscious now not to lose my temper.
