Reincarnation and Heaven or Hell ?

You all agree 'As we SOW so shall we REAP '
How does it matter whether you reap it as ' Heaven/Hell ' (post death)or in an other incarnation (which is also post death)?

Anyway you all agree, we all have to bear the fruits of our own actions some time in future good or bad. When one has done only good in this life then what is the cause of the suffering which one may experience now in this life ?

Any rational mind would justify it as a result of your own past actions. That means I must have done some mistakes in my past (near past or far past - unknown past??? ) How can you justify it ?

Just as some trees bear fruits very fast ,some take months ,some may even take years (many factors go into it - the type of seed ,the soil ,availability of water, sunlight etc); its the same with actions .
Some actions bear instantenous results some hours ,some weeks ,some months, some years ,some even a life time & some even more lifetimes. Many factors go into it.

example :Human life
It takes just a few moments, hours or days to conceive , but it takes nine months to grow into a human form and 18 years to grow into a fullfledged adult human being called ' Man '

Any rational thinker would follow from this that there is a LAW operating -
The LAW OF KARMA just like the law of gravity.
Just because I deny it doesn't mean it does not operate or exist.
Only a thinker can follow this not all .The rest are just blind followers of their beliefs .
We have to abide by the ' Laws of Nature ' whether we believe in it or not.

Don't worry Suresh !
If you are sincere in your faith nothing can shake you.Nothing can go on forever.Everything takes its own time to settle.
Rest assured ! Once the boiling point is reached , the bubbles burst forth revealing the subtle TRUTH in all grandeur.

Nutcase has indeed truly stated !

I'm open to learning all about other cultures. We talk about the idea of reincarnation if you like. Reincarnation is really a judgement after death that works out in a different way. If you're a good person, you're rewarded with material things and a good life. If you're a bad person, you're punished with poverty. Sounds pretty similar to the concept of heaven and hell.
But just like Hindus believe in reincarnation, I believe in heaven. I am sure that if I walked in to a Hindi temple and spoke of heaven/hell, they would tell me it's a myth. Open dialgue is good, but at the end of day, we still believe what we want to believe.

Heaven and Hell are as much a matter of faith as reincarnation. That much must be admitted. Neither can be conclusively proven.

Interfaith dialogue consists in realising that differences exist and working together anyway; not in trying to convert each other or shouting your head off. The common misunderstanding is that if I do not believe the same as you we cannot have dialogue. This is a myth. The truth is, it is these differences of belief which make dialogue necessary and interesting in the first places.

upon what proof are you basing your position that heaven and hell are mythical?
You can't simply throw a statement like that out there without any back up and expect people to just accept is as fact, can you?
Well, maybe you expect that, but sorry to tell you, without any "proof" your question just earned a "feelings and emotion" vote from me.
And for the record, most people I know, but obviously not anyone you know, are quite versed in other cultures and religions, very interesting stuff.
Maybe you need to find a new group to hang with that will actually challenge you.
just a thought. Since you asked, I mean.

They are certain, because their religion tells them it is so, that their view of an afterlife is most certainly what it truly is. I am not surprised that they clain reincarnation is a myth, I would be surprised if they did not as it goes against their belief system. As for learning about other religions, a lot of them do, but they will still call it myth just as a lot of people learn about the ancient Greek and Roman religions and their 'mythical' legends. So, just because they do not believe in these other religions, doesn't mean they do not learn about them. After all, they must know something about other religions to know what their belief in afterlife is.

Heaven and Hell are not myth, friend. They are what God created for us. There are no second chances and no karma. Christians are open to learning about other cultures, but we don't necessarily agree with them. For example, we wouldn't advocate killing trainloads of Muslim women and children in the way that it happened during the partition.

I am Christian, and therefore cannot speak of the Muslim faith. Nevertheless, my Christian response is this:

Once you have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb...
Once you have tasted and seen how good The Lord is...
Once you have experienced the love, grace and mercy of God...
Once you have built a relationship, and made a covenant onto THE Almighty God...
Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour...

What HE says is the undisputed, undeniable, unmoveable, unwavering, absolute TRUTH....
HE becomes the author and finisher of your life...
HE is your LORD, and you have no need of any other...
HE is your Counsellor, and you recognize that any and all else is man made by way of demonic influence...
HE is the one in which you place your trust and your confidence...
HE is the one you are faithful to, forsaking all others and all else.

Therefore, you abort all other information as being mythical and/or fictitious, as well as being a portal which attempts to seduce you into adulterating your faith..idolotry, worship of other god(s)...this has been going on since the beginning of time, and it will continue to go on until the second coming of Christ.

It is the Christian response to stand firmly for Christ, live for Him, be married to Him (the church body IS His bride), and even be willing to die for Him in spiritual battle/warfare.

This is why the Christian rejects other beliefs, religions, faiths, gods, and so forth. Nevertheless, we are in TOTAL ERR when we rejected PEOPLE. It is ALSO our response to love others as we love Christ, regardless of their religious choice. We are to LOVE the sinner and hate the sin. It is not the PEOPLE we are angry with...it is the seducing demonic spirits that we are at war with.

Unfortunately, some of us have not yet matured to know the difference, so "I" am asking that you find it in your hearts to forgive my brothers and sisters who may offend others in this fashion.

God bless!

For christians we have learned fromthe Bible that the dead know nothing. Which makes reincarnation pretty hard. And other than the few that Jesus raised from the dead and Jesus himself there are no records of this and if people claimed this they were comsidered nuts. I am guessing you believe differently and if a person truly believes his/her reigion then they will not change that for anyone.

It is unfortunate that Hinduism is open minded enough to embrace all other religious teachings even though others ridicule it. Christianity and Islam does not leave room for the theory of reincarnation because it goes against their belief system and will destroy their religion.

Truth is, we don't have any real proof that the spirit does NOT survive death. Truth is, we have no proof for ANYTHING that happens after death. So the only closed minds, or stupid people, are the ones that can't look at alternatives to what they were taught as children. That INCLUDES atheists.
