Even if the cats are around her since birth, and get along with her just fine, they still feel a little bit of "jealousy" (yes, I know it's hard to believe, but it's true! animals do feel jealous if they have to "share" their owner's attention with a new "creature") That happened to us, when I moved in with my husband, his female cat started to do all kind of strange things, including peeing in the room where we watched tv... it's hard to get rid of cat's urine, maybe Urine Gone could work, but trust me, you'll have to keep that door closed, no matter how many things you use to clean it, the cats will go back to urinate there if they have a chance.

Once a cat or dog urinates somewhere, to them it becomes an area to go back to again and again. They go according to what they smell. So once they have urinated or defecated on something you either have to throw it out or TOTALLY remove the smell not according to your nose, but the animals which is way more sensitive.

The only way to do that is to use an enzyme cleaner made specifically for pet urine. You need to follow the directions EXACTLY or it will not work.

One method to check for urine stains is to purchase a small battery operated black light for about $10.00. Wait until night and make sure the room is in total darkness. When you turn the blacklight on and hold it close to the floor or furniture, it will make the urine glow. Be aware that it will make white or certain colors glow also, but you should be able to tell where the urine is on the floor or furniture.

They are both trying to mark "their" territory. There are some good products that repell them. Check with Petco or Petsmart. Good luck, I had a cat like that once and I had to get rid of her, she couldn't handle being around my other cats.

take the cat to the vet could be she has a urinary tract infection. get her medically cleared and if that isn't the case then you can start in on the behavioral issues.

because the rest of the house is yours, and you belong to them. they are jealous of her. keep the door closed, or get rid of the cats. they know you love her, and don't like it. you stop feeding them, and let your grandaughter feed them. maybe they will change their attititude when she is the one feeding them.
