There are 2 night markets. The Suan Lum Night Market near Lumphini park at Wireless or Whitthayu Road and Rama IV Road. It is right near the Lumphini terminal for the subway. There is no entrance fee. The other was mentioned before, Patpong Night Market is in a notorious night life area. Check out www.bangkok.com for more info. There are plenty of tourist spots. There are A/C bus tours too. Or you can figure it out yourself. Grab a map at the airport if there are any. There are many Wats or Temples, plenty of shopping and nightlife. There bus tours, bike tours, and river tours. Take your choice. Bus tours run a couple hours. Bike tours take 3 to 5 hours and river tours 2 to 5 hours. You can also take a tour to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand. Pattaya, a seacoast city, is 2 hours away by car or taxi. I don't suggest a bus unless you want to save money. Enjoy

You are probably talking about Patpong and surrounding area. Used to be a raunchy sex industry site, but the market, specializing in trinkets, handicrafts and fake name brand products has moderated the other trade considerably. It's simply a street (soi) which turns pedestrian in the evening in the Silom area with entrances on both Silom and Surawonge streets. No charges; sharpen your bargaining skills.
