I feel a bit unwell - just a bit of a cold and sore throat. Is it best to just go to the exercise class and sweat it out? or go to bed and forget the exercise? thanks

You really shouldn't exercise for an hour with the symptoms you have listed. You could run your immune system down and make your illness worse, so you may end up being out for several days. Take a night off, get plenty of rest, try the home remedies of chicken soup, Vitamin C and lots of fluids, and if you want to try and sweat it out take a hot bath.

It depends how bad you are.

If you are genuinely sick (proper influenza for example) the exercise class could cause dangerous levels of physical stress.

If, on the other hand, you are largely fine but a bit sniffly and demotivated, the exercise class will do wonders. It will raise your metabolism and actually help you fight off any minor infections. It will also give you a personal sense of achievement and help you sleep.

Bottom line - its your call I'm afraid...

Well whatever you do keep warm and wrapped up. If it was me, i'd go to bed an hour earlier, if you think about it, you won't exercise near as much as if you were feeling 100% so it'd probably be a waste of time to go exercising. Dunno bout you but i'd pick the bed!

Head to bed....the best way you'll recover from illness is letting the body concentrate on fighting the infection/virus or whatever. Putting extra strain on your body by going to the gym will just mean it takes longer to recover.

Do not exercise when you feel unwell, this is a fact, just rest. Hope you feel better soon.

that's in user-friendly terms a nasty thought in case you have difficulty falling asleep afterwards. that's extremely contradictory to workout, which motives advance heart value and metabolism, in simple terms earlier mattress, that's a time while your heart value and metabolism are meant to decelerate, yet there is not any longer something risky or undesirable approximately it except it keeps you conscious at evening.
