Most death comes from illness. Many suicides stem from depression, but also from psychotic disorders and from anxiety or other mental health conditions. Depression and anxiety can cause suppressed immune systems, however, and leave a person vulnerable to disease.

If you would like to get some help for your depression, a psychotherapist (one with a documented track record of success in helping people overcome depression) can help you. However, depression is a complex condition. It would be a good idea to find out what a trained therapist recommends after speaking with you. Remember, what you are looking for is success in overcoming depression. There may be several ways to achieve it, but always keep the goal in mind.

By just talking about it with either epople you know very close to you can help you aswell as maybe the professinal if you feel that just close poeple to you is not doing you any good.

I have been depressed for a long time now and have never been to the doctor with it for reasons how:
"oh I can get over it myself"
"i dont want to have m,edication ruling my life"

thoughts like that but after years and now finally realsiidng I have been happy for a long time now - I have realised that you can not get out of depression, it will come back again and again -

Seek out a professinals help - doctr , psyicatrist, counceler etc - what ever has been my thoughts on "happy pills" as you have put it, they are still there but the realsiation that depression needs as much help as you let it have means that medication is a very good idea in deed

I am just trying to put a light onto this "happy pills" business, not make it a downer - for I myself am one who does nto like the idea of medication for depression.
