Have you tried Rooms to Go? If you go during one of their big sales that they have every now and then, you can get good prices...that is where I bought my current sofa. At the one in Grapevine.
PS-when I moved here to Atlanta, I got my bedroom furniture from IKEA...but it is a joke. You have to put it together yourself, or hire someone from their store to do it, and it can take a long time. My uncle ended up having to put my bed together and it took him most of the morning. They don't mention that kind of stuff at IKEA. Why I will never shop there again.

I also live in North Texas, and you have many options. The most economical and stylish first choice is IKEA. If you have great style, you can really put some great things together there. My next suggestion would be Pier One. It is a little more expensive than IKEA, but they have some great pieces and they hold good sales, if you keep an eye on the weekly ad in the Dallas Morning News. Lastly, I would suggest buying the Forth Worth and Dallas Sunday papers, where they advertise a ton of vendors who run specials on furniture. Good Luck!~

The words English Bulldog and Cheap do not go in the same sentence. The least expensive way to get 1 is from a rescue & at best you'll pay $500 But if you can't afford the price, you probaably should get a different breed. The vet bills for E.B.'s are high. They have hip & eye problems & can be quite costly.

Do you have a store called the Dump there. We have one in Houston and we've found some neat stuff. Also Gallery Furniture. If you're looking for used furniture that's usually in pretty good shape, try one of your big resale shops. I hope that helps.

The "Room Store" has nice furniture at reasonable prices.

I purchased a really nice couch and dinning room set for $1,100.

Go to your nearest Ikea and check out the 'As Is' section. I buy lots of stuff there and you can't even tell there is anything wrong with it.

Goodwill industries and Salvation Army. After that then you might just borrow from your friends and just forget to take the items back.
